Research: The Process and Development of Empathy in Educators: A Phenomenological Inquiry.  For this research, a text, Time for Children, was written.  It served as a guide for educators learning about the effect of children's trauma.  Two instructors taught University accredited courses based on this text.  Phenomenological research was conducted on the written encounters and reflections of five of the course participants.  The purpose of this research was to discern the process and development of empathy in educators working with traumatized children. A model useful for training practitioners in empathic skills was proposed.
